Ed Alonzo is a Mexican American comedian, actor, and professional magician. He portrayed Max.
Career
He had various roles on Saved by the Bell (20 episodes between 1989–1990), Head of the Class and Totally Hidden Video. He also had guest starring roles on Full House, Murphy Brown and Xuxa. Alonzo performed a special daily show incorporating his comedy and magic at California's Great America in California. Alonzo recently performed for Valleyfair in Minnesota, and appeared on one episode of Cycle 11's America's Next Top Model. In 2009 he worked with Britney Spears to create illusions for her 2009 The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour. Alonzo was one of the magicians working on Michael Jackson's This Is It concerts. He performed as part of Jackson's crew in the rehearsal which took place the night before Jackson's death on June 25, 2009. He also has a show at Knotts Halloween Haunt called Ed Alonzo's Psycho Circus of Magic and Mayhem. He is currently performing in this show at Cedar Fair's other park Kings Island in Mason, Ohio.
Personal Life
On the 25 November 2008 episode of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, actor Neil Patrick Harris referenced Alonzo as his "best friend." During his senior year of High School in Bakersfield, California; Ed was asked by the school principal to perform a magic show for the entire student body. Ed crafted a 55 minute show that ran for one class period of a day and included 8 major illusions (one of which centered around the levitation of the school secretary). As the class period ended, the finale was still in progress, even considering being late to their next classes, the entire capacity audience stayed to watch the big finish.
