Bayside is a top performing Junior and High School in California. It is the school attended by Governor Zack Morris and his friends; his son later attends the school.

The school is the backdrop for the series'. After Governor Zack Morris begins closing numerous under-performing schools, several of their students are transferred to the school in hopes of improving their education.

- The school is 99% paperless by 2019. Students receive their textbooks via electronic devices; primarily, these are iPads.
- In the revival, there are angles of the school that were never seen in the original series.
